Product Marketing Lead - eCommerce
We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing and eCommerce Lead with a passion for building a program from the ground up. You will develop a clear understanding of our customers, competitors, and product portfolio to prioritize and drive the right go-to-market effort for our new eCommerce offering. In this role, you will implement new strategies that drive the growth of our eCommerce revenue. Working closely with others in business and technical teams, you will be responsible for delivering a customer-centric user experience, continuous optimization for conversion, and reporting on key metrics. You will provide quantitative insight to help the team understand our customers based on their actions, measure the impact of various product decisions for user experience and revenue perspectives, and guide product development and roadmap decisions.
This role requires excellent analytical and technical abilities and exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate has proven experience in website strategy and e-commerce merchandising, is comfortable with ambiguity, has superb attention to detail, and excels in a fast-paced environment. With offices in major cities and ambitious expansion plans, we remain grounded in our commitment to helping small businesses succeed. This role will report to the VP of Marketing, and it will be highly cross-functional. As a Product Marketing Lead - eCommerce, you will oversee the development and implementation of our eCommerce strategy and its operational execution that delivers value to customers, increases sales, and creates a better overall customer experience. You will be a key marketing team member, owning the go-to-market strategy of one of our key growth pillars and working closely with channel managers and creative resources to drive, measure, and optimize our eCommerce business.

What does the Job Entail?
- Building and launching our eCommerce offering, entailing product, and promotion strategy.
- Work cross-functionally to create and execute a vision for a delightful web and digital experience for consumers to discover, shop, and buy 1-800Accountant services online.
- Reinforce a strong culture of rapid experimentation, measurement, and iteration
- Serve as a domain expert and maintain ongoing, deep knowledge of e-commerce best practices
- Track and identify underlying drivers of KPI targets & metrics, synthesize findings, and communicate insights
- Plan, orchestrate and execute go-to-market activities including product documentation and various other contents, target audience activation plan by segment, and operational support tools
- Collaborate with client-facing sales teams and digital marketers to drive high levels of customer engagement to improve our product offering.
- Ensure a strong lifecycle strategy optimized for growth, retention, and upsell.
- Responsible for translating product and eCommerce messaging and strategy into compelling content and building the programs and campaigns that increase awareness, adoption, and demand for our services
- Own the value propositions and messaging strategies that drive our eCommerce business.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing or eCommerce roles
- 3+ years of experience working in a service or SaaS-based eCommerce environment
- The ideal candidate has proven experience in website strategy and e-commerce merchandising, is comfortable with ambiguity, has superb attention to detail, and excels in a fast-paced environment
- A track record of building or accelerating eCommerce growth strategies
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce and Google Analytics is required, PowerBI a plus
- Experience with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify preferred
- Proven track record of speaking in front of large internal, and external audiences
- Exceptional analytical skills, ie ability to assemble and interpret data, create executive summaries, and deliver actionable business insights
- Excellent communication skills and can confidently communicate to all levels of the business from operational to executive
- Experience working with cross functional teams to develop products and services
- Strong independent project management skills, including the ability to define and execute against project timeframes, dependencies, and risk factors.
- Comfort with ambiguity, uncertainty, and a rapidly evolving business landscape
- Bachelor’s in marketing or related field
